Landing The Beast

A lot of folks my age have a keen interest in gaming. I can’t say the same for me, unless flight simulators count as “games.” If they do, then I’m definitely a gamer. I love flight simulators, even to the degree that I have one on my tablet which I enjoy immensely called “Infinite Flight” - if you have any interest whatsoever in flying, and have a fairly new smart phone or tablet, this app is definitely for you.

I’ve also had an interest in aviation for the longest time, and hope to one day have my pilot’s license. Since that takes a lot of time and money, it may have to wait. Until then, though, I’ll live vicariously through pilots when I’m on a real flight, and fly virtually any chance I can get.

I was playing last night and decided I wanted to fly the largest passenger jet in service: the Airbus A380. Not only did I want to fly it, I wanted to see if I could land it, and how well I could do so. I couldn’t have asked for more perfect conditions.

The time: during the day. The place: Orlando International Airport, or MCO, runway 35R. I was quite proud of myself for the landing I executed. Have a look:

For running on a tablet, it ran smoothly and graphics are excellent. I highly recommend Infinite Flight! It does have a subscription cost, but it’s beyond worth it. The developers are great with keeping it up to date and adding new features and planes periodically. I’ll post more content if I have more good landings or interesting things. Thanks for checking it out!
